Johnstown area companies are ready to go to work. Contracts worth more than $400 million dollars were announced during the annual Showcase for Commerce on Thursday.
Defense contractors and other local businesses were awarded major job contracts that will keep jobs in the region and possibly lead to new positions.
The largest contract announcement came from Concurrent Technologies Corp. They landed a $248.6 million agreement to support the U.S. Army Research Laboratory.
Other deals include Martin Baker America, which received a $26.6 contract for building seats for the UH-60 Blackhawk.
