SPRING MILLS, CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Today Burkholder’s Country Market unveiled their solar panel carport as well as two electrical car charging stations in their “Flip the Switch” event.
This is a unique development for Burkholder’s. Sun Directed, the company who installed this technology, approached Burkholder’s about having a solar panel carport. With the help state grants, Burkholder’s were able to make solar panels and electrical car charging stations happen.
Free food was available to customers who wanted to check out the new technology or shop.
WTAJ spoke with owner of Burkholder’s, Russel Burkholder, to talk about his excitement about their new venture.
