Emergency responders are at the scene of a train derailment in Windber Borough.
Crews were first called out just after 7:00 p.m. to the area near 9th Street after multiple cars, some of which were carrying coal, left the tracks.
At this time, no injuries are being reported.
A command center is being set up at the Windber Fire Department.
Officials aren’t sure what caused the train to leave the tracks.
First responders are asking people to avoid the borough during the clean up process, because many of the main intersections in that area have been affected by the crash.
