A former Johnstown pediatrician has been sentenced to 79 to 158 years in prison.
Because of these special circumstances, this sentence was increased.
Dr. Johnnie Barto, 71, pleaded guilty to abusing more than 30 children over several decades. Most of the assaults happened in the examination room at Laurel Pediatric Associates of Cambria County and at local hospitals.
More than 20 women were expected to speak in court at his sentencing.
