STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WTAJ) — Police are investigating a hit-and-run in State College.

We’re told it happened just after 2 a.m. Friday.

Police say a borough employee was hit while painting road lines on E. Beaver Avenue and Sowers Street.

The impact also overturned the line painting tractor he was operating.

The suspected driver was stopped a short time later on Fox Hollow Road and is believed to have been driving under the influence.

We’re told a blood test was taken, and charges are pending.

The victim has multiple broken bones and remains in Geisinger Medical Center.
