A body found in the Juniata River has been identified as a missing Blair County man.
A search crew with the Geeseytown Fire Department and State Police located the body of John Prunkard Tuesday morning.
The 70 year old was camping and fishing for several days near Reservoir Road in Frankstown Township.
Officers say when his ride came to pick him up, his belongings were packed, but Prunkard couldn’t be found.
He was last seen making a call and waiting in the Mielnik’s Shopping Village Plaza.
State Police say they’re still looking for answers in this case.
“We’ll have some more answers as for the cause of death but unfortunately the last time we saw him was on the video camera at Mielnik’s,” explained PIO Trooper David McGarvey. “So we really don’t know what happened to him after that and unfortunately we don’t have any witnesses that can help us out with that.”
