A series of free block parties will unite different Johnstown neighborhoods.
This Saturday, June 16 the West End Block Party will take place on the field behind the old Greater Johnstown Middle School on Decker Avenue.
It’ll feature bounce houses, carnival games, free food and live entertainment. Organizers said they hope people who attend will benefit from more than just a good time.
“The block parties are to create community within each neighborhood in Johnstown. We want to build a stronger Johnstown by building stronger neighbors,” said Dan Shaffer, Block Party Coordinator for the Johnstown Neighborhood Boosters Association.
The West End Block Party runs from 12-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 16.
