A Blair County man is behind bars after allegedly stealing a vehicle, then leading police on a chase.

According to the Tyrone Borough Police Department, a 2012 white and tan Ford F-150, was reported stolen on Sunday just after 6 p.m.

Police say the man told them it was taken by his son, Terrance Mater, 18. Mater allegedly hit a parked car on 19th Street when he drove off.

A felony warrant was issued for his arrest.

ON Monday, Tyrone Police responded to a report of another hit-and-run crash in the 1300 block of Logan Avenue involving the stolen truck. Officers say they were led on a short chase before Mater crashed and was taken into custody. Several parked cars and a telephone pole were damaged.

Mater is facing multiple charges. He is currently in the Blair County Prison with a bail of $30,000.
