Blair County man sentenced to prison for child pornography

Bradley Beck, 21, of Altoona was sentenced to prison for child pornography.

Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced today that Beck was sentenced to five to 10 years in prison after explicit images of children were found on his phone.

Beck plead guilty to possession and production of child pornography and indecent assault on October 5, 2018. On February 28, 2017, agents from the Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Unit received a Cybertip from Skype.

After an investigation led police to Beck, he admitted to uploading the child pornography photo to Skype. Photos of a naked 8-year-old child and his younger brother were found on Beck’s phone. He had been trusted to pick up the children from school and be with them until their parents came home. Police also found a video of Beck fondling the child’s genitalia.

“This is an egregious case – parents entrusted this defendant to care for their young sons. We are pleased with the results from today’s sentencing, which will take a predator off the streets,” said Attorney General Shapiro. “My Office will investigate and prosecute anyone we uncover who sexually abuses children to the fullest extent of the law.”
