A local bridge may soon hold the name of late Trooper Landon Weaver.
The State House of Representatives passed a bill to honor Trooper Weaver’s life.
House Bill 1608 would designate the bridge on State Route 22, which goes over the Juniata River and rail road tracks in Huntingdon County, as the Trooper Landon E. Weaver Memorial Bridge.
Trooper Weaver was killed in the line of duty in Huntingdon County last December.
State Representatives Judy Ward and Rich Irvin are co-sponsors of the bill.
The bill now heads to the senate for consideration.
