Bikers ride to D.C. for climate change

More than a dozen cyclists in State College hit the road for their yearly trip to Washington, D.C. for climate change.

Members of the Pennsylvania Interfaith Power & Light organization left Friday afternoon for a 200-mile, 4 and a half day bike ride to confront lawmakers about climate change.

The organization takes a faith-based response to climate change.

“We’re here to build trust with our legislators to let them know that we’re here representing congregations from all over the state,” Jon Brockopp said.  “We’re in every congressional district in the state.”

Cyclists have made the journey from State College to Washington, D.C. for six years.
