State Police in Bedford County are investigating a deadly crash involving a bicycle and car Tuesday morning.

According to police, the crash happened just before 6 a.m. in Bedford Township.

Officials say Devin Clark, 23, from Bedford, was riding the bike in the Northbound lane on Route 220 when he was hit by the car from behind.

Clark, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene. Police say his bike did not have safety lights.

The driver of the Ford Focus was not injured.

The investigation is still ongoing.
