A memorial service was held in Bedford County to celebrate the life of Pastor Steve Oberman.
Oberman was hit by a car while clearing leaves in his church parking lot on Thursday, November 16. He died from his injuries three days later.
Crowds of people packed the Tussey Mountain High School Auditorium for his service.
Oberman, a 1975 graduate of Tussey Mountain, started at the Saxton and Broad Top Churches of God in 2003.
“He loved life and lived for adventure,” Pastor Jeff Musser said at the service. “Well done my good and faithful servant. I know he heard that. Amen.”
Oberman leaves behind his wife and two daughters.
He was 60 years old.
