HOLLIDAYSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) –There are almost 50 axe throwing businesses around the country, in major cities like Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. One man said bringing this type of activity to Hollidaysburg will offer something different to residents and visitors.
Dan Kroko owns multiple properties in downtown Hollidaysburg and plans to use one of them for a new axe throwing business.
“If it is as successful as some of the other venues that are in existence, it should bring 200 or 300 people into Hollidaysburg every week,” he said.
Kroko said folks can bring their own food and beverages, including alcohol, but there will be rules.
“We’re gonna limit how much you can bring in, and we’re also going to monitor it very closely,” he said.
Kroko hopes the alley will be up and running by the end of August. There are still some steps before doing the property. He said the current hurdle is rezoning the area from residential to commercial use.
