A man has been arrested after assaulting a police officer in Bedford County.

On December 6 at approximately 2:50 p.m., police were looking for a man connected to a domestic assault incident.

The man was wearing an orange hoodie and jeans and police were told by a volunteer firefighter that the suspect was near 502 5th Street in Saxton, PA. Upon arriving at the address, the assault suspect, Brandon Baker, tackled one of the officers, causing him to hit his head and start bleeding.

Baker was restrained and an ambulance was called to evaluate the officer’s injuries. Baker was searched to find his PA Driver’s License and police also found a marijuana smoking pipe.
