Another employee is treated after being exposed to an unknown substance at SCI Somerset.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, an employee was attempting to talk to an inmate around 10 a.m. Friday when the employee smelled s strong, sweet odor of smoke. 

We’re told the employee immediately tried to leave but started feeling a tingling sensation on her tongue and lips. 

The employee was then taken to Somerset Hospital. 

All state prisons are still on lockdown, following several substance illnesses.
