Another fire has occurred at the Cherry Lane Estates in Somerset Borough Sunday night.

This is the 12th arson since May 3, excluding two attempted arsons in the Cherry Lane Estates mobile home park. The fire was called in at around midnight and investigators say that it appears to be the same as each of the previous fires.

Just like the others, police say it was a vacant trailer. Nobody lives there nor was inside at the time of the fire.  Police Chief Randy Cox says while these trailers have been vacate, there are still many dangers being posed to first responders and the public.

“The trailers are relatively close together, there is a chance of that fire spreading to an occupied trailer,” said Somerset Borough Police Chief, Randy Cox. “Except for one all of these have happened late overnight or early in the morning when people are asleep so they are less aware than if they would happen during the day.”

Anyone with information on these arsons are asked to call police.
