It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Johnstown.
Volunteers from the Discover Downtown Johnstown Partnership set up the Christmas tree in Central Park Monday.
This is the third year the tree has been featured downtown.
Volunteers will spend the next two weeks making sure the technology is working before the big tree lighting ceremony.
“Well obviously, we know the tree is one gigantic computer. We want to make sure the music times up with the lights and it’s synchronized with the animation on the side of the Ameriserv financial building. So there’s a lot of testing and technology that goes in to this Christmas tree,” said Melissa Radovanic, President of Discover Downtown Johnstown Partnership.
The Christmas tree lighting ceremony is set for November 17 at 6:30 p.m.
