The Pennsylvania Game Commission is investigating potential animal abuse in Columbia County.
Photos highlight a group of people appearing to torture a possum with alcohol and later throwing it away.
The Game Commission said if the animal was wild, the individuals involved could be facing charges.
Official said they are working to identify the suspects.
Bloomsburg University has confirmed one of the individuals pictured is a current student at the school.
