ALTOONA, STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WTAJ) — According to SafeHome.org, State College and Altoona both rank in the top 15 for safest cities in Pennsylvania.

The website ranked in the top 25 safest in Pennsylvania. To compile the scores of cities, SafeHome took several factors into consideration, including the FBI’s UCR (uniform crime reporting), census data, and scored crimes based on severity.

Altoona is ranked as the 14th safest city in Pennsylvania, with a safety score of 80.31.

State College is ranked as the third safest city in Pennsylvania, with a score of 86.6.
