A 31-year-old Altoona man is in prison after police say he had a sexual relationship with his 15-year-old niece.
Jonathan Burd was known to police for sexually assaulting his niece in the past.
But this time, he allegedly drove around with her for two days before crashing his car following a chase with police.
Before the crash, the niece told police Burd swallowed meth and tried to kill himself with two knives while being chased by police.
Burd is charged with several offenses including Statutory Sexual Assault and Corruption of Minors.
