Police have arrested an Altoona man on drug charges.

Just after 12:48 a.m. Thursday, Logan Township Police officers stopped a vehicle driving south on E. Pleasant Valley Boulevard, for an equipment violation.

Police found that the driver, Shawn Jackson, 38, possessed a baggie containing a small amount of heroin.

Jackson is being charged with possession of a controlled substance/paraphernalia.
