In Blair County an argument between a couple ended in a police chase and car crash.

Police say it happened yesterday when a woman was visiting 20-year old Corey Patrick in Logan Township.

The two got into an argument, and that’s when Patrick allegedly stole her car and led police on a chase down Pleasant Valley Boulevard.

Officials say he looped back around and crashed into the bridge on Union Avenue by CVS Pharmacy.

After the crash, he ran but police caught him and took him into custody near the Red Lobster in Altoona.

“We’re really fortunate when he drove back across this busy road here that no other vehicles were struck by him. Luckily he only hit the wall and no other innocent people,” says Tim Mercer, Police Chief of Logan Township Police Department.

No one was injured during the chase.

The Logan Township Police Department thanks all departments who assisted them with the incident.
