An Altoona boy is on a mission.
Jordan O’Hare is collecting police patches from all over the country.
“I want 625,000,” O’Hare smiled.
That’s a pretty big goal, but Jordan is on his way. He has already collected more than 40 patches.
“To see a young child with that passion and hoping he keeps that passion, that’s great to see,” Sgt. Matthew Plummer, from the Altoona Police Department, said.
The 5-year-old is fascinated by police officers. In fact, he wants to be one when he grows up.
“They help people,” O’Hare explained. “You can trap up the bad guys in the jail cell.”
Sgt. Plummer even made him a promise when they met for the first time.
“If I’m here in 16 years I’ll hire you is what I told him,” Sgt. Plummer said.
It’s confirmation that one day he won’t just be collecting patches, he’ll be wearing one proudly.
