President Trump spoke out about the border wall again, and even referenced his trip to Shanksville and the Flight 93 National Memorial.
In an exclusive interview with The Hill, President Trump said he’ll be doing more in the next two weeks to make sure the wall is built and then referenced a picture that was taken while on his visit to the Flight 93 Memorial that “had a gorgeous wall.”
“I had a picture of where I was this weekend,” said President Trump. “They built this gorgeous wall where the plane went down in Pennsylvania. Shanksville. And I was there. I made the speech. And it’s sort of beautiful, what they did is incredible. They have a series of walls, I’m saying, ‘It’s like perfect.’ So, so we are pushing very hard. As you know we’ve gotten approved in the House but the Senate cannot get it approved.”
He said $1.6 billion has been put towards starting the wall and then added that his administration is pushing hard to get more. Although it was approved in the House, it has not yet been approved in the Senate.
