SHADE TOWNSHIP, SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today that a bridge repair project will begin on Route 1018 in Shade Township Somerset County.
Beginning Monday, April 22, The contractor will implement a one-mile detour until June 12. The detour will follow route 1018 (Shaffer Mountain Road), Route 160, and Main Street.
The work on this project will consist of removal of the existing bridge deck, a bridge deck overlay, minor roadway approach work, and guiderail upgrades.
All work on this project is expected to be finished by November 2019.
