Over 80 institutions plan to participate in Altoona Area High School’s (AAHS) Opportunity Fair.
The 2018 Post High School Opportunity Fair will be held at the AAHS Fieldhouse Tuesday, October 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, October 10 from 9 a.m. to noon.
This fair provides accurate and up-to-date educational information to all students and their families considering their options after high school.
On Tuesday evening, juniors and seniors are invited to attend the fair with their parents to gather information and talk with representatives on post school options. There will be representatives from the armed forces, business schools, nursing schools, junior and community college, four-year colleges, and technical, trade, and career schools.
AAHS students and other Blair County County students are invited to attend the fair on Wednesday. Parents can also attend if they could not make it Tuesday. An estimated 2,000 students will be participating in this fair.
Those attending should enter the AAHS Fieldhouse using the Ticket Door Entrance on 14th Street. The Handicap Accessible entrance is on 13th Street near the Neil Armstrong Planetarium.
