Four Penn State students have been charged with selling alcohol, and providing alcohol to minors at a large scale tailgate party.
Police say it grew to about 600 people in Beaver Stadium parking lot before the Ohio State game on October 29.
The party gave rise to the controversial use of a low flying State Police helicopter to try and disperse the crowd.
Video of the helicopter has since gone viral and given rise to an investigation by the FAA. No results of the investigation have been released yet.
Criminal complaints filed yesterday, police say Penn State students Mark Lunney, Joshua Spear, Connor Fitzgerald and Jared Bouer were organizers of the tailgate party.
The tailgate was first discovered by undercover officers who attend the party which officers say involved 18 fraternities and sororities.
Police say Spear and Fitzgerald admitted to being in charge of planning the party, and Fitzgerald told police in a January statement that he became aware of a Greek life tradition to hold home tailgate football parties and that was cause for he, and the three others charged by police to organize the party.
