A 22-year-old inmate at SCI Rockview was found dead on March 8.
Logan Splain was found unresponsive in his cell at approximately 12:43 a.m. Prison staff immediately tried to resuscitate him until emergency personnel arrived.
Splain was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center and pronounced dead at 1:32 p.m.
He was serving a 1.5 to 5-year sentence for possession with intent to deliver out of Centre County. He had been at SCI Rockview since February 14, 2019.
The official cause of death will be determined by the Centre County Coroner.
