HeartChase is an important component of the American Heart Association’s sweeping national goal which is to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20 percent and to reduce deaths from cardiovascular disease and stroke by 20 percent by the year 2020
Nearly 70 percent of Americans do not engage in regular physical activity. This inactivity doubles the risk of heart disease – our nation’s No. 1 killer, which is largely preventable through a healthy lifestyle. The Laurel Highlands HeartChase provides an opportunity for every participant and team to live the mission of the American Heart Association.
The 2018 Laurel Highlands HeartChase is set for Saturday, April 28th.
Teams will make their way through Ebensburg in a community-wide competition to uncover clues, solve puzzles and complete challenges in a race to the finish line.
This is all while raising funds and awareness for the American Heart Association.
Check-in begins at the Young Peoples Community Center at 8am and the chase begins at 9am.
The goal of the event is to raise $45,000 for the American Heart Association, and more than 150 participants are expected to join the chase. Registration is $30 per player, which will be used to fund cardiovascular research and preventative education in Pennsylvania.
