A local football team was the target of an alleged locker room theft Friday night.

The State College Area High School Varsity Football team reported several items stolen during the second half of their game against Central Dauphin East on Friday.

Saturday, police said some of those items have been recovered and an investigation is ongoing.

According to district parents, players had laptops, cash, wallets and keys stolen. Some items were also damaged.

A district spokesperson calls this an “unfortunate situation” and said they’re working with the Central Dauphin School District Athletic Department and police.
