One week since two people were killed in a plane crash in Centre County, first responders are reflecting on their response.

Investigators are still working to determine what caused the crash.

Local first responders said Thursday was a challenge because of where the plane crashed, but said their training helped them feel prepared.

“The preparedness and the preparation that we put into local government and the first responders and the university, how they all sync together, it’s pretty special,” Brian Bittner, Director of Penn State’s Emergency Management, said. “We take a lot of pride in being prepared.”

The preliminary crash report from the NTSB is expected by Friday.
