Chris Lee’s trial got underway at the Federal Courthouse in Williamsport.

The jury, made up of 8 men and 6 women, heard opening statements Monday afternoon.

The prosecution argues Lee possessed and received child pornography.  The prosecution also says Lee obstructed justice by trying to get rid of it after he was arrested.

His defense argues that what the prosecution claims is an assumption and is inaccurate, that Lee had to knowingly possess the graphic images and he did not.

The jury will hear testimony from several witnesses this week and will also see physical evidence in this case.

The trial is expected to last four days.
