Both lanes on I-80 east bound have reopened to normal traffic, after a multi-vehicle crash closed it down for hours . Penn DOT says the crash involved about 25 cars, on the east bound side of I-80 between the Kylertown and Snow Shoe exits.

The crash involved multiple vehicles, and semi trucks. One of the trucks went off the side of the road by mile marker 144. It took police hours to be able to get the driver out of the front cabin of the truck , according to police. The driver was then transported to the hospital.

The crash backed up traffic for miles down the interstate. Many witnesses and drivers say they were waiting in their cars for over four hours until traffic was able to move again.

Police have not released any information on the conditions of those involved in the crash.
