It’s been 50 years since a Huntingdon County teenager was kidnapped. Today, the now 67-year-old woman will share her story.
Peggy Ann Bradnick was just 17-years-old when she vanished into the woods of Shade Gap.
She was kidnapped after William Hollenbaugh, otherwise known as Bicycle Pete, pointed a gun at her head in front of her siblings.
Peggy Ann was tortured, abused and starved for eight long days while thousands of people searched for her.
With her amazing story of survival gaining national attention, Peggy Ann now travels to share her experience.
The public is invited to listen to Peggy Ann today, as she recalls the events of May 11th 1966, and how they changed the course of her life.
The lecture will begin at 7 o’clock tonight at the Saint James Lutheran Church in Huntingdon.
