Wednesday is expected to be Pennsylvania’s  Attorney General Kathleen Kane last day after being found guilty on perjury charges.

The First Deputy Attorney General, Bruce Castor Jr., will be filling in until a new Attorney General is appointed or elected this fall.

On Monday night, Kane was found guilty on every count against her. The court found that two years ago she leaked secret grand jury information to embarrass a rival prosecutor. Her sentencing has not yet been scheduled, but it could any time before the end of November.

Kane looked back on her time serving the state, on her way into work this morning for the last time.

She said, “I’ve been truly honored to serve [Pennsylvania]. It has been one of the greatest experiences of my life.”

Castor is expected to be sworn in Wednesday afternoon. In November Josh Shapiro  faces John Rafferty for the Attorney General position.
