Jury selection for Frein’s homicide trial scheduled

The man accused of killing an officer and injuring another in Pike County two years ago was in court Friday.

Jury selection for Eric Frein’s homicide trial is scheduled for two weeks from now.

Lawyers discussed possible testimony Friday that could be given by a neuropsychologist if Frein is convicted.

Frein is accused of shooting and killing Corporal Bryon Dickson and wounding Trooper Alex Douglass outside of the Blooming Grove Barracks in September 2014. He was caught after a nearly 50 day manhunt in the woods.

Jury selection is slated to begin on March 6 in Chester County, outside of Philadelphia. Once jurors are selected in Chester County, they will be brought to Pike County for a trial, which is expected to start on April 3.
