Local music artist Josh Gallagher will be holding two performances at the Mishler Theatre in Altoona. 

 

Gallagher, who now lives near Nashville, is originally from Cambria County and still has many relatives in the area. 

 

He rose to fame in 2016 on the singing competition, ‘The Voice.’

 

The executive director at the theatre said this will be his first big concert and everyone is thrilled it will happen in Altoona.

 

“It’s a great success story. It really and truly is. He’s had a lot of local coverage that has explained where he started and how hard he struggled,” Kate Shaffer said. “He was right place, right time, right talent, just a great guy.”

 

The concerts are scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
