Today was the first of three scheduled hearing days for Jerry Sandusky as he fights to overturn his conviction and earn a new trial.
Former Penn State Assistant Football Coach, Jerry Sandusky, did take the stand Friday morning. This is the first time he has taken the stand.
He stressed that he did not have enough time to prepare for the trial that convicted him of of the sexual abuse of 10 boys and gave him a prison sentence of 30 years. He said he had wanted to testify during the original trial, but that did not happen.
After a short recess his former attorney, Joe Amendola took the stand. Sandusky says Amendola did not properly prepare him for interviews or the trial.
The hearing continues and is expected to last rest of the day.
