One local borough is celebrating a major milestone this week.
Today Huntingdon is kicking off it’s 250th anniversary celebration with a series of events.
There will be a farmers market, cooking demonstration and concerts.
At 10 this morning, there was an old town walking tour from the courthouse to the local historical society exhibit gallery.
“That’s actually the area, the three block radius where Huntingdon actually had it’s foundation, and the first little small cluster of log homes was located. First courthouse, jail, the legal epicenter of Huntingdon so that where we’re going to start our tour,” says Kell Kroecker, Executive Director of the Huntingdon County Historical Soceity.
There’s also a new exhibit at the historical society featuring local historical artifacts that have been hidden in storage for years.
It’s open every Thursday from 4 PM to 8 PM until October 5th.
