A car chase near DuBois ends with a woman crashing her car in the woods.
It happened around 8 p.m. Sunday on Baker Road near Oklahoma-Salem Road.
Police say the woman ran an officer off the road while driving and then a chase ensued for about a quarter-mile.
She allegedly drove to the end of the road, which turned into gravel near a gas well.
Both vehicles were towed out and a 12-year-old neighbor told us she’d spotted them going by.
“I was in the garage getting ready to start my four-wheeler and then I saw the car go past and the police came chasing them. They came all the way down there,” says witness Lydia Zuccolotto. “The cops went down into the weeds and they brought a girl back up and put her in the cop car.”
Police say they think the crash is alcohol-related and we spotted them giving the hand-cuffed woman field sobriety tests.
Police said in a release on Monday that the 25-year-old Falls Creek woman was taken to the Clearfield County Jail on a 48-hour detainer, and that she had almost hit the Sandy Township officer’s car head-on.
