A new report suggests that Pennsylvania hospitals are doing a better job of protecting you from infections. New figures from the Centers for Disease Control show that hospitals in Pennsylvania are out-performing the nation on infection prevention.
According to the CDC report, infections caused by central line catheters, MRSA and C-diff are lower in Pennsylvania, than national baselines. Urinary tract infections linked to catheters, surgical site infections due to hysterectomies, and infections after colon surgeries are also below national baselines.
