The CEO of an area healthcare organization is leaving. Scott Becker is retiring from Conemaugh Health System, effective September 30. Conemaugh includes Memorial Medical Center, Miners Hospital, Meyersdale Medical Center and Nason Hospital.
Under Becker’s leadership, Conemaugh was acquired by Duke LifePoint Healthcare in 2014. LifePoint says the process of finding Becker’s replacement is already underway and that the Conemaugh Board of Trustees will be involved in the comprehensive search.
Becker’s been Conemaugh’s CEO for 11 years. “Over the years, Scott has been a true visionary who has shaped Conemaugh into the region’s leading healthcare system,” said Jeff Seraphine, president of LifePoint Health’s Eastern Group, which includes Conemaugh and other Duke LifePoint facilities.
