The “Helping Other People Succeed” organization is handing out checks to those in need after extreme flooding hit Centre County over the weekend.
H.O.P.E., Inc. is a non-profit organization run by un-paid volunteers that raises money to help those in need in the community. They have helped in ways such as funding transportation for people traveling for cancer treatments, helping battle costs for a child needing open heart surgery and now those suffering from flood damage.
Since its inception, the organization’s goal is to help those in need in the local community. Today, they handed out four checks ranging from $250 to $500 to help aid in the costs for repairing damaged furnaces.
They are accepting donations as well as applications for those who are looking for help. You can find more information on the H.O.P.E, Inc, website.
