A teacher’s aide accused of abusing a non-verbal autistic child had her preliminary hearing continued Wednesday.
Toby Scalia was reported to Huntingdon Borough Police in April for causing harm to the 7-year-old autistic student at Standing Stone Elementary. The criminal complaint said the child would come home with bruises and welts regularly.
The reported abuse occurred from November 2015 to April 2016.
Court administrators said they are not sure when the hearing will be rescheduled.
