A home health aide and another woman were in court this afternoon after allegedly delivering heroin to a patient in Ridgway.

We have more on what police say they found while arresting the two women.

The complaint says in all, police recovered 22 stamp bags of heroin marked with the word “hello,” Including two in a pocket while patting down Tabitha Young, 39, Ridgway, last month.

Police say they found 10 more stamp bags in a cigarette case on the aide, Kimberly Parry, 42, Marienville, and 10 more in Parry’s SUV.

Police went to a man’s home in the 400 block of E. Main St. on June 22 for an overdose, according to the complaint.

The complaint says the patient was shot up with three bags of heroin to alleviate his pain, that he was getting heroin from Parry for six months, and that Parry worked for Compassionate Homes out of New York state.

We spoke to the patient, Michael Beck, who says he woke up and was taken to the hospital for a day after suffering the overdose.

Beck says he has MS and depression and hopes to disconnect from the drug scene after speaking to police about this duo, adding that he wanted the heroin at the time.

“I asked. I was hurting. My doctor shut my pain meds off,” says Beck. “Tabitha Young is innocent. She, I believe what she was doing, was bringing stuff to me, for me. Therefore, I don’t feel she should be penalized for what she did. Yes, she broke the law.”

Both women’s bail was changed to $50,000 unsecured and they were set to be released from the Elk County Prison on Wednesday afternoon. They’re awaiting further proceedings on drug charges.

Beck was also in court on Wednesday for misdemeanor drug possession charges from June 22, records show.
