The State College Police Department continues to investigate the death of Penn State University student Timothy Piazza at the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity house. 

Detectives say they are currently constructing a time-line of events that will give them a better idea of the events that led to Piazza’s death. 

Officials say they are now looking into the possibility that excessive drinking and hazing may have played a role in Piazza’s death. They say he was one of 14 pledges present at the bid acceptance ceremony at the fraternity house.
