A mobile home fire that broke out early Wednesday morning in Blair County, killed a woman and her grandson.
The fire broke out around 7:15 a.m. in Antis Township, with fire companies, including Excelsior Fire Company in Bellwood, responding to the scene on West 13th Street, with the two trapped inside.
44-year old Downa Winslow of Tyrone and her 2-year old grandson Zaiden Winslow died as a result.
The county coroner’s office pronounced both dead at the scene.
The residence is a total loss, with an estimated $100,000 worth of damage.
The State Police Fire Marshal and criminal investigation unit are investigating the cause of the fire.
