Governor Tom Wolf was in State College Monday, meeting with local business owners at the Happy Valley Launchbox to talk about the importance of entrepreneurship.
Wolf met with Penn State President Eric Barron and state and local leaders to outline initiatives in his 2017-2018 budget proposal, encouraging job creation and improving workforce training and university partnerships.
“That’s what we’re trying to do with these institutions of higher education… We can connect them to the world of work in a way that actually creates jobs and creates really good economic development for us right here in Pennsylvania,” Wolf said.
The launchbox is located on South Allen Street in State College.
