The Altoona Area School District held two meetings Thursday and as a result, they approved additional estimated costs for the modular classrooms project at Ebner Elementary School.
The funds approved raised the $154,500 site work costs by $70,000.
Money will go to a canopy that connects the modular classrooms to the building, electrical and site work, fencing, landscaping and oversight fees.
A school district official tells us that the schools classes have become very tight and this should alleviate concerns of overcrowding and reduce class sizes.
